Get ready for an extreme outdoor adventure as you learn the skills required to live in the woods! Imagine yourself being able to track deer, rabbits, raccoons, and other wildlife. And imagine that you have actually trapped one using the snares and deadfalls that you’ve learned to construct. Imagine that you know how to process small game, and you are getting pretty good at identifying wild edible plants too…
Dinner smells great cooking over the fire you’ve built. And while you’re waiting to eat you are using your knife to build a primitive bow, or maybe some bone tools.
You are confident and strong, knowing that you can navigate in the back-country, make water safe to drink, and you can handle common first aid situations.
It is so much fun spending time practicing skills and laughing with your new best friends in the shelter you’ve built together that you can’t wait until next month’s meeting in the woods.
All of this, and more, is in store for teens attending the Wilderness Skills Adventure Series in Red Rock, TX.
