About the Speaker:
A native of Houston, Texas, Martin Payne holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been active in various phases of the upstream oil and gas industry for 36 years. Martin has a wide variety of interests, including growing grass-fed beef, metal fabrication, gardening, wild plants, primitive skills and running engines on wood and charcoal! His charcoal-powered motorcycle and utility vehicle have been displayed at Mother Earth News Fairs. Martin is a past Scoutmaster and current Scout leader, and serves on the Board of Trustees of Useful Wild Plants, Inc.
