Marketing Manager – If You Love Growing Food and Making Medicine

 Our company culture is of a team of rugged adventurers out to make a difference in the world. We are a distributed company with most of us based in Texas. Those with a life-attitude of being on an expedition in the back-country will like working in this environment. This is a full-time contract to hire position where you (mostly) determine your own hours.

You value clear labelling and communication. You keep your work area spotless. You enjoy working with your hands in a light manufacturing setting. You work best on your own, but you are really good at communicating with the rest of the team. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves to do whatever it takes to get the job done. There’s no task too small and too large!  

  

About the role  

The Grow Network primarily sells small herbal kits, educational tools, and bulk herbs online to people who want to make their own medicine and grow their own food. Your job will be to  

  

Summary of Position: 

  • Report to company Managing Director.  
  • Responsible for the generation of online traffic and sales for all TGN properties, via direct response marketing campaigns, affiliate launches, social media, email marketing, and community building.  
  • Manages and executes the promotional calendar. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

  1. Implement high-level company objectives as determined and assigned on an annual basis. 
  1. Report weekly to Managing Director and with team staff.  
  1. Create sales pages, landing pages, follow up sequences, and other marketing collateral for TGN internal and external marketing campaigns.  
  1. Design, implement, track, and report on marketing split tests to continually improve conversions.   
  1. Manage promotional calendar, as well as give direction for content for the editorial calendar. 
  1. Make quarterly projections for gross revenues: track, compare with actual results, and report. 
  1. Manage sales content on product pages in the company store. 
  1. Manage external affiliate management contractors.  
  1. Develop products and funnels focusing on growing company recurring revenue streams via paid subscriptions and memberships.  
  1.  Grow the email list size via strategic lead magnet campaigns. 

 

  

Minimum requirements  

  • A passion for homegrown food and good health (you have a garden, and/or chickens, or you are growing some of your own food in some way). 
  • 3 years of experience inan marketing  
  • Ability to effectively work with a remote team, you communicate clearly and regularly via email, phone, and text as needed. 
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills. 
  • Experienced with Office365 (word, excel,powerpoint) and Outlook coordinated company email and calendaring, Slack,Ontraport, Shopify, Deadline funnel, and Thrive builder 

  

Compensation and Benefits  

 Starting at $4K per month, initially on a contract basis and moving into a full-time team position once the probationary period is complete.
