In 1986 he wrote the landmark book “Designing and Maintaining Your Edible Landscape Naturally”.  Realizing how important the “underground” life of plants is, he developed a fascination for root systems.  Robert has authored several books including “Drip Irrigation”, “Roots Demystified”, and his latest book “Understanding Roots”.
